to Glasgow's Housing Strategy Glasgow City Council has responsibility for shaping the future of housing provision within the city. The Council assumed responsibility for funding housing association and private housing development in the city from Communities Scotland on September 1, 2003. To support and guide this role, the Council has adopted a Housing Strategy in partnership with key stakeholders. Glasgow’s Housing Strategy was adopted by the Council on March 25th 2003. It will be subject to continuous development and review in consultation with partners and stakeholders, and this website will enable everyone to keep in touch with progress.
